you have to post a DRC first, and if there’s enough support, you can move forward with a DIP for an on-chain vote
Dear DYDX team. Please give us (holders) a second chance to exchange your Dydx erc20 coins. All my savings are in the Dydx erc20 coin. Every day I worry about the lost funds, I plunge into depression…

Holders who have missed the “window” for a swap.
Hello dYdX Community,
I am writing to open a discussion on the recently closed Ethereum → dYdX Chain bridge.
As most of you know, the bridge was officially deprecated on June 13, 2025, following a governance decision to fully transition DYDX tokens from Ethereum (ERC-20) to the Cosmos-based dYdX Chain.
While I understand and support the migration to a native chain, the strict cutoff date has left a number of token holders unable to complete their migration in time.
The reasons include:
Restricted access to the bridge in certain regions (due to regulatory/IP blocks)
Technical limitations with supported wallets
Delayed awareness of the final bridge deadline
Because of these issues, many genuine community members still hold ERC-20 DYDX that cannot be converted 1:1 to native DYDX anymore.
Suggested action
I propose that the community and validators consider:
Temporarily re-opening the Ethereum bridge for a limited grace period (e.g., 30–60 days), OR
Creating an alternative one-time migration mechanism to allow holders to convert their ERC-20 DYDX fairly.
This would:
Protect long-term supporters who missed the original deadline,
Preserve fairness and inclusivity in the ecosystem,
Strengthen community trust in the governance process.
Call to the community
I invite other community members, validators, and the dYdX Foundation to share their views.
If there is broad support, I am willing to help move this forward into a formal governance proposal (on-chain), with the required deposit.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Best regards,

Hi, totally agree with you . Can you write your comments on the topic : DRC: Migration solution for ERC-20 DYDX holders
Dear dYdX community,
We understand that the discontinuation of support for the wethDYDX smart contract (the “Bridge”) has created challenges for some members of the dYdX community, and we want to acknowledge the concerns that have been raised.
Our goal is to provide clarity around the dYdX Foundation’s role and the governance process that determined this outcome.
Bridge Discontinuation
As noted in prior Forum posts and in this blog, the decision to discontinue support for the Bridge was made through a two-step governance process by dYdX governance participants (dYdX Chain validators and their respective delegators):
-
December 7, 2024: A text proposal passed to cease support for the Bridge by June 2025.
-
June 13, 2025: A parameter-change proposal finalized the discontinuation of support for the Bridge.
Additional Clarifications
“Re-enabling the Bridge”
The dYdX Foundation does not have the ability or authority to re-enable or extend Bridge support. Any reconsideration would need to come from a new governance proposal and be approved by the dYdX community.
“Providing Liquidity”
Some community members have suggested that the dYdX Foundation provide liquidity on decentralized and/or centralized exchanges. We understand that liquidity is an important concern for many community members. However, it’s important to clarify the role of the dYdX Foundation here too. The Foundation is a community-funded, non-profit entity. It does not hold large proprietary reserves, nor is it structured to provide market-making services.
“Alternative migration solutions”
As with any protocol change, such initiatives must be community-driven and follow the governance proposal lifecycle.
Next Steps
Overall, the discontinuation of the Bridge was a formal governance decision finalized on June 13, 2025. Any potential solutions for liquidity or bridging should be community-driven and must not depend on or involve the dYdX Foundation.
In this case, it would likely make sense for interested parties to:
-
align on a potential solution on the dYdX Forum,
-
introduce a text proposal to gauge dYdX community alignment, and
-
If the text proposal passes, and if necessary, follow up with another on-chain proposal.
Hello dYdX team and community,
As of today, there are still around 41.6 million DYDX remaining on Ethereum (ERC-20), which equals roughly 4.16% of the original total supply. According to Etherscan, there are more than 45,000 unique holders of this token. These users, for various reasons, were not able to migrate their assets through the official bridge before it was shut down on June 13, 2025.
The closure of the bridge has effectively left this portion of the community without any option to convert their holdings into DYDX Chain. Liquidity on Ethereum is now extremely limited, swaps on DEXs involve significant slippage, and centralized exchanges no longer accept deposits of ethDYDX.
Speaking personally: I am a large DYDX holder with a position worth several hundred thousand USD. Around 90% of my tokens are already on dYdX Chain, but 10% remain stuck on Ethereum as ERC-20 DYDX. I would very much like to continue being a long-term supporter of this project, but if the community cannot address this issue, it risks leaving many loyal users—including myself—disappointed.
Suggested solution: Claim/Airdrop mechanism
Instead of reopening the bridge, the community could implement a claim process based on a snapshot of ERC-20 balances. For example:
-
Take a snapshot of all ERC-20 DYDX balances on Ethereum at a specific block.
-
Allow those addresses to claim an equal amount of DYDX (1:1) on dYdX Chain through a simple interface (e.g., claim site connected to wallets).
-
Optionally, expand the snapshot to include DYDX balances on other networks (bridged versions), ensuring fairness across ecosystems.
-
The original ERC-20 DYDX tokens could then be considered deprecated/locked, preventing double spending.
This approach has been used successfully by other projects migrating chains and would:
-
Give holders a fair path to recovery without reopening a vulnerable bridge.
-
Simplify the process for retail users.
-
Strengthen trust in dYdX governance by showing that the community protects all holders.
I kindly ask the Foundation and validators to evaluate this option or similar mechanisms. This could be the most secure and community-friendly solution moving forward.
Thank you for your attention.
I invite all validators to this topic and want to hear your proposal for a solution to this problem. @Validators
Good afternoon, dear Dydx team. Please help us get our tokens back. I am your holder and want to work with you for a very long time. What do we need to do for you to return our coins back to the Ethereum network?
Hello dYdX community,
I understand that governance has already decided to discontinue the Ethereum → dYdX Chain bridge, but I would like to raise a concern on behalf of the remaining ERC-20 holders.
While 96% of tokens were successfully migrated, the remaining 4% is still a meaningful part of the community and should not be left behind. For fairness, could the community consider proposing a temporary or one-time bridge extension to allow these tokens to migrate?
This would help ensure that all members of the ecosystem are treated fairly, even those who could not migrate in time.
Thank you for your consideration.
Subject: Request for Assistance with Stuck ethDYDX Tokens After Bridge Closure Hello dYdX team, I hope you are doing well. I am writing to ask for your advice regarding my ethDYDX tokens that remained in my Ethereum wallet after the migration to the dYdX Chain. Unfortunately, I was not able to migrate them before the bridge was closed on June 9, 2025. Now the tokens are still visible in my Trust Wallet, but I can no longer swap or bridge them, and their value has dropped dramatically. Could you please let me know if there is any way to redeem or recover the value of these tokens, or if there are plans for a “rescue” program for holders who missed the migration deadline? Here are the details (if you decide to include them, replace with your info): Wallet address: 0x709Aa1dF01f04A407F88a0C95453E226C671bcFD Amount of ethDYDX: 728 Thank you for your time and for any guidance you can provide. Best regards, Sergey
Please respond to the proposal for resolving the issue with stuck tokens; more than five different solutions have already been proposed.
