I invite all validators to this topic and want to hear your proposal for a solution to this problem. @Validators
We appreciate the clarifications provided by validator @Govmos regarding supply shortages and difficulties in acquiring tokens without dilution—this is a valid concern that highlights the need for a balanced approach. However, these obstacles can be effectively overcome with targeted assistance from the Foundation, rather than solely through potentially contentious governance votes.
The incomplete migration of 45,000 users points to a clear gap in the communication campaign — likely due to insufficient reach or limited visibility of your notifications, leaving many holders uninformed. In light of this, the premature closure of the bridge was a mistake; extending it and strengthening warnings to retail users through broader social media channels and crypto bloggers could have prevented the current impasse. The team’s silence and moderation of social media discussions lead the community to conclude that there was a planned action to deprive 45,000 dYdX holders of their funds, and may provoke them to appeal to the ESMA and SEC regulators if a solution remains elusive.
To bridge the 42 million token gap created by the halt in migration and subsequent delisting (reducing the supply from the initial base level of 1 billion to 958,342,745 according to CoinMarketCap), we propose a simple way forward, initiated by the Foundation. As a non-profit organization responsible for the integrity of the ecosystem (in accordance with the Foundation’s guiding principles), the @dYdXFoundation is well-positioned to lead this process without waiting for full consensus on governance issues, using its role to facilitate urgent measures to ensure stability (as was the case with previous treasury support and proposal development). This is consistent with governance documents, which state that the Foundation may propose and implement actions critical to the ecosystem to avoid the risks of dilution or deadlock in voting.
Proposed solution: resume migration under the guidance of the Foundation.
a) Issue 42 million new native DYDX tokens: issue them to compensate for stuck ethDYDX balances, restoring the planned supply. This is a standard protocol feature (as in proposals #189 and #254 on Mintscan) that can be implemented without immediate dilution by linking it to future fee compensation.
b) Reopening the migration bridge: reactivation for a period of at least 90 days, allowing all affected holders to convert tokens at a 1:1 ratio and eliminating the issue of lack of notification.
c) Exchange liquidity launch: Allocate 10-15% of treasury reserves to launch pools on DEX (e.g., Uniswap) and CEX, ensuring tradability after migration and minimizing devaluation.
This structure solves the problem of $25 million being stuck for retail holders with minimal impact on the ecosystem. Validators, your support will signal strong governance — please work with the Foundation to initiate this as soon as possible. Let’s work together to resolve this issue fairly and strengthen dYdX for everyone.

Well… The lack of dialogue and silence from @dYdXFoundation and @charles speaks volumes to all of us about one thing: the Foundation’s unwillingness to resolve the situation due to its initial plan to cut off some retail holders. Of course, such a manipulative move will not bring any reputational benefits to the project, the team, or Charles. But that is their choice.
I’m also stuck in the erc 20 network. And there are many of us.

Same problem. I don’t sit on the projects I buy, I put the coins in a cold wallet and went about my business. I found out about the network shutdown two days ago. When it was already too late. I would really like the developers to give holders remaining on the ERC20 network the opportunity to transfer their coins.
Subject: Request for Assistance Regarding ETH–dYdX Bridge Closure
Dear dYdX Team,
I hope this message finds you well. I am reaching out with sincere respect regarding the closure of the ETH–dYdX bridge. Unfortunately, I was not able to withdraw my funds in time, and now I no longer have access to them.
I fully understand and respect the necessity of rules and deadlines in the protocol’s operation. However, for me this situation is critical, as the locked tokens represent a significant portion of my assets.
I would like to kindly ask you to consider the possibility of a special solution—for example, a short reopening window or another mechanism—that would allow me to withdraw my tokens. Your support in this matter would mean a great deal to me and would further strengthen my trust in the dYdX protocol.
Thank you very much for your time and attention. I would be sincerely grateful for any assistance you could provide.
With respect and gratitude
Aleks.
Hello, this is terrible news. Many of my friends, including myself, are holders, and none of us saw this news about migration. Our money has turned into paper money. Let’s solve this problem; maybe we should contact sec.
Hello, esteemed DYDX team.
I have been a token holder for over a year. I purchased $2,000 worth of tokens. Last night, I accidentally found out that you disabled the ability to withdraw them from the erc20 network. As I understand it, I am not the only one in this situation, and a huge number of people have effectively had their funds frozen permanently.
I hope you will show respect to your users, as not everyone could have received the information about the bridge closure for various reasons.
Best regards!
Dear DYDX team. I once invested about $30,000 in a token and put it in HOLD. This is a significant amount for me. I don’t understand how I missed the news about the migration, even though I’m quite immersed in the topic and follow project news. I really hope a solution is found and you’ll open a second window for latecomers, long-term holders like me, who believed and continue to believe in the project!
If you, for whatever reason, let it slide, it will be very bad for the project. Trust and faith will be lost!
My funds were stored securely on my Ledger, and I never imagined such a situation could happen. Please, give us another chance to save our money. I trusted your project and invested my hard-earned savings. It feels deeply unfair to be left without any way to access them. I believed in dYdX, and I still hope the team will do the right thing for the community.
Dear dYdX team and community,
I want to share my personal experience as one of the affected ERC-20 DYDX holders. The bridge closure has been devastating for me personally - I had no idea this was happening until it was too late.
Like many others, I was a long-term supporter who kept my tokens in cold storage for security reasons. I wasn’t actively following every forum discussion, and honestly, the communication about this major change was nowhere near adequate for something this significant.
The financial impact on me has been severe. This represents a significant portion of my portfolio and feels like a complete rug pull, even though I understand it went through “governance processes.”
**I strongly support the solutions proposed in this DRC!
**
The current situation is simply not acceptable. We need a fair resolution that doesn’t leave retail investors behind while institutional players had advance notice and resources to migrate successfully.
I really hope the team will step up and take responsibility for this communication failure. A six-month notice period means nothing if people don’t actually see the notice. Please don’t let this proposal get buried - thousands of us are depending on finding a solution.
Thank you for considering our situation.
I am also a token holder and found out about the closure only today. I am trapped with same issue as well, looking forward to find a solution
I also hold DYDX tokens on Ethereum (ERC-20). Since the bridge is closed, I cannot migrate them to the new chain. Please reopen the bridge or provide an alternative solution. Many holders like me are stuck with ERC-20 DYDX.
Dear dYdX Foundation, Validators, and Community,
I am an ERC-20 DYDX holder who kept tokens in self-custody (Tangem wallet). Unfortunately, I did not have the opportunity to migrate my tokens before the Ethereum bridge was closed. Now my funds are effectively frozen — I cannot use them in governance, trade them with fair liquidity, or convert them to the native DYDX chain.
This situation feels extremely unfair to many retail users like myself. ERC-20 holders were excluded from governance votes that decided on the bridge closure, which means our voices were never represented. At the same time, the closure has artificially reduced circulating supply at the expense of tens of thousands of individual token holders.
I strongly support the community proposal to **reopen the migration bridge for at least 90 days** and allow 1:1 conversion of ERC-20 DYDX into native DYDX. This would:
- Restore fairness by giving retail holders a real chance to migrate,
- Eliminate stranded ERC-20 tokens and resolve the ~$25M gap,
- Maintain the planned circulating supply without dilution,
- Strengthen trust in dYdX governance and the integrity of the ecosystem.
I kindly ask the Foundation and validators to take leadership in this matter. As suggested in community discussions, the Foundation has the ability to initiate such a process without waiting for a governance deadlock. Please show willingness to cooperate with affected users and resolve this issue constructively.
Thank you for your attention. I look forward to your response and to a fair solution for all ERC-20 DYDX holders.
Hello dYdX community,
I am reaching out because I was unable to migrate my 4,500 ethDYDX tokens before the bridge was permanently closed on June 13th, 2025. Unfortunately, this means my tokens are now stuck on Ethereum with no path to convert them into native DYDX on the dYdX Chain.
I fully understand that the migration deadline was announced, but like many other holders, I missed the window. This situation has left a significant amount of value stranded on Ethereum, and I believe it goes against the spirit of fairness and inclusivity that dYdX has always stood for.
I kindly ask the Foundation and the DAO governance participants to consider a post-deadline migration solution for small holders like myself. Possible options could include:
-
Temporarily reopening the migration bridge,
-
Deploying a new smart contract to allow a one-time migration of remaining tokens, or
-
Establishing another fair mechanism to unlock the value of stranded ethDYDX.
I am committed to supporting the dYdX ecosystem long term, but I need the community’s help to ensure that my 4,500 tokens are not permanently lost.
Thank you for your understanding and for any guidance or assistance you can provide.
Best regards
Andrej
I have been the holder of the dYdX project for at least 2 years, I have been storing coins on a cold wallet on the ETH network. I can’t keep up with all the news about the project and all the forums all the time. I ask you to give me the opportunity to open a bridge for all holders on the ETH network so that it is possible to exchange tokens on the ETH network for the Dydx network, a small amount of $ 500 is suspended (at the moment), but this is not a very pleasant event for me as a holder of the project.
Same as others Dydx token holders I got stuck on Eth chain , I have been holding this token for very long time and I wasn’t notified that there is no available to swap Dydx token on eth for Dydx on Dydx chain . Please could you open bridge for people - there is 45000 users were trapped.
I am a long-time holder of the ethDYDX token and unfortunately I missed the announcement of the transition to a new network, please open the possibility of migration, since judging by the answers here, there are many such people, and many were not able to do it on time. With best wishes, I will look forward to a solution to this problem, thank you in advance for your attention to this issue.
Dear DYDX Team,
I am reaching out to ask you to reconsider reopening the ETH–dYdX bridge. I understand that its closure was the result of a governance vote and executed automatically. However, many users, including myself, are now unable to access their tokens, which has put us in a very difficult position.
We kindly ask you to explore at least a temporary solution to reopen the bridge. Even a short-term option would be extremely valuable for the community, and we would be very grateful.
With respect and appreciation,
Dear DYDX Team, dear friends,
I have been a holder of your tokens for more than three years, as I sincerely believed and continue to believe in the project. Unfortunately, I did not see your announcement regarding the need to transfer tokens from one network to another. A significant number of tokens are stored in my wallet, and this situation is causing me serious concern.
I am reaching out to you with deep respect to kindly ask you to consider the possibility of resuming the ETH–dYdX bridge. I understand that its closure was executed automatically based on a governance decision, but many users, including myself, are now unable to access their tokens, which has created a very difficult situation.
We kindly ask you, if possible, to provide at least a temporary solution for reopening the bridge. This would be an extremely valuable step for the community, and we would be deeply grateful for your support.
With respect and gratitude,
[Vitalii]
