Problem with Dydx Erc-20

Man, dydx made plenty of warnings regarding bridge shutdown.

I hold DYDX ERC-20 tokens on Ethereum. I didn’t know I must convert them to DYDX chain. Please help me. Please re-open the bridge. It’s not fair to lost my whole asset.

i guess you must be out of crypto space for you to miss all the loud warnings they made before they shutdown, i doubt if they can reopen the bridge, sorry for your loss tho.

Hello, community. I’d like to add my voice and become yet another person expressing concern about the shutdown of Ethereum network support. Like many others, I kept my DYDX tokens on Ethereum. It never even crossed my mind that Ethereum support would be discontinued - especially now, when Ethereum is essentially getting a second wind. All of this looks extremely strange.

I admit, I wasn’t closely following community updates, but I never signed any documents obligating me to do so. Let’s try to find a solution, because right now this feels like a SCAM.

People are unable to exchange their legitimately purchased ethDYDX tokens.
Let’s reopen this “bridge.dydx.trade” and give people the chance to swap their tokens.

I doubt people will simply stay calm about this.
I don’t want to escalate the situation just yet, by filing complaints or spreading this issue widely through the media.
I’m hoping for your understanding.

Some of us still keep DYDX ERC-20 tokens and have no way to move them to the new chain after the bridge was closed. Please consider reopening the bridge or offering any official migration tool, so holders are not left behind.

Thanks for understanding.

Plenty of warnings for those who follow its page on X. What about the other holders? The whole community of DYDX is not those 298k followers on X! It’s not fair to discontinue the bridge.

No way. I was just not among those 298k followers of DYDX page on X. ‘Cause DYDX team focused mostly on X to inform the community about this process. That’s why many holders are not aware of shutting down the bridge and they have lost their tokens. 42 M tokens have not been converted. So it’s rational and fair to re-open the bridge.

Please re-open the bridge. These tokens are the whole assets of my life. Don’t let me down. I need my money. Don’t make the community disappointed . Please please please

Hello Werty,

We understand the difficult position you’re in as a result of missing the bridging deadline. To provide clarity and context, here’s an overview of the dYdX community governance decisions and the timeline.

Governance & Timeline
The wethDYDX Smart Contract (“the Bridge”) was active for over 18 months, giving holders a lengthy window to migrate from ethDYDX on Ethereum to DYDX on the dYdX Chain. The dYdX community, through a fully open and transparent governance process, decided to discontinue support for the Bridge in two steps:

  • December 7, 2024 – A text proposal passed to cease support for the Bridge by June 2025.

  • June 13, 2025 – A parameter change proposal passed to finalise the discontinuation of support for the Bridge on the dYdX Chain.

During the more than 6 months between these 2 governance proposals, the Foundation and other ecosystem stakeholders repeatedly communicated the decision and timelines through governance proposals, forum posts, Foundation blogs and documentation, third-party articles, frequent reminders on social media and community channels, and announcements by major exchanges.

Responsibility & Next Steps
As parameter change proposals, like discontinuing support for the Bridge on the dYdX Chain, decided through dYdX governance are binding, automatically implemented and enforced through code, and the Bridge is no longer supported on the dYdX Chain, the Foundation does not have the authority or ability to unilaterally reactivate it or to coordinate any token swaps. Responsibility ultimately rested with ethDYDX holders to act within the period when the Bridge was active.

While the Bridge cannot be reopened without a new governance proposal — which, if created, may not align with the rationale for its closure — you are free to explore any avenues you feel are appropriate.

You can find the blog post about the discontinuation of support for the Bridge here.

Sorry, but I’ve already read this text from you and it doesn’t solve my problem. We have 42 million tokens left, and at the current rate it’s $30 million. Will you continue to ignore the request to renew the bridge?

It seems like reading comprehension isn’t your forte. They already said they can’t reopen the bridge; that functionality must go through governance approval.

if you can’t open a bridge then come up with another solution, for example: upload liquidity to the dex of the platform where you can exchange dydx erc-20 without a drawdown of -90%, or add support for entering dydx erc-20 on exchanges, or something else so that your move is not considered fraudulent. If your investors are required to exchange their tokens 1:1 then you should react as a normal and honest project. On the stock market, teams do not allow themselves to simply say that the bridge is no longer active! We are waiting for your active participation in solving this problem

I’ve held ethdydx for several years—never traded it, as it was intended for long-term investment. I was shocked to recently read news about the forced conversion proposal to dydx. Why has a proposal to burn ethdydx been issued within just six months? What right does DYDX have to destroy it? If DYDX dares to issue a cryptocurrency, it must take responsibility indefinitely and must not unilaterally carry out destruction actions. The reasons of “time expired” and “cannot be returned” are completely unacceptable.

Hello , what I need to do with my dydx erc20 tokens ?

This is also my problem. My tokens have turned to a worthless paper. The holders of 42M tokens are in a big loss. DYDX TEAM is responsible to help us. They should convert ERC-20 DYDX to DYDX Chain themselves. There are still lots of holders who are not even aware of this conversion and they hold ERC-20 DYDX in cold wallets. We as holders have bought our tokens legally. It is not fair to lose them like this. @dYdXFoundation help us. Stay loyal to the holders.

I have read your message. I want to inform you that your activity qualifies as SCAM.

Are you a lawyer or a crypto king, judging someone who’s in trouble? There are tons of people like Werty, including me, who invested in the DYDX project for the long haul and shouldn’t have to stress out and check forums and chats for info about support ending, our tokens being canceled, and stuff like that. This is completely absurd! This is not normal! How can this be? And on top of that, the termination of support for the Ethereum network? Does DYDX position itself as one of the leaders of DEX or as trash? A normal solution was suggested above — to add liquidity to one of the DEXs or to open a deposit and exchange in one of the CEX exchanges. And then there would be no need for a vote on the new bridge.

If you are unable to technically open the bridge, then make another decision—pour liquidity into the exchange on dex or add the ability to deposit and exchange on one of the CEX exchanges. If you respect the community, each of us, investors in your project, then I ask you to take into account everyone’s right to dispose of (buy, sell) DYDX tokens. A solution can always be found. And in this case, it MUST be found! Because right now, you have left MANY PEOPLE behind! This is unfair. No one should have to closely follow the news or chats, fearing that they will not be able to exchange their coins at some point. There are people who invest for the long term (as in the stock market, as in real estate, as in pensions) and are not obliged to search for information about the termination of support. This should not be the case, especially with a network like ETH. I ask you to find a solution for us. You are not a one-day project from India, you are a serious project from the USA! Or will we have to file a complaint with the SEC and other relevant authorities?
