Introduction:
Hello dYdX Community,
We’re bringing to your attention the dYdX Protocol release v9.0
, which introduces TWAP order support, order router revenue sharing, and proposer set reduction to further enhance trading functionality, ecosystem incentives, and governance flexibility.
Note: the adoption of v9.0
is subject to software upgrade via a governance proposal.

Key updates include:

TWAP Orders: Allows users to submit orders that will be executed at certain time intervals at the current market price.

Order Router Revenue Sharing: Enables frontends to receive a governance-defined share of trading fees by attributing their router to orders.

Proposer Set Reduction: Provides dYdX governance the ability to designate a subset of validators as block proposers, improving reliability and performance.
