Validator Introduction - InfraSingularity

We are pleased to introduce ourselves to dYdX

  • Entity name and location :** InfraSingularity, Miami FL

  • Infrastructure location
We choose the geographic location of our nodes with network performance and latency as our primary considerations. We utilize cloud infrastructure (specifically OVH) to host our nodes. The geographic location of these nodes is adjusted based on the unique requirements of each network we support.

  • What kind of hardware do you run? Baremetal, cloud-based…? In what geographic regions?

We run our nodes on cloud-based infrastructure provided by OVH. The geographic regions are chosen based on the specific requirements of each network, ensuring optimal network performance and minimal latency.

  • Technical make-up of the team (elaborate on no. of dev ops engineers, experience, etc.)

Our technical team includes 4 DevOps engineers with 7 years of experience in DevOps, and of which 3 years in Blockchain Infrastructure specifically.

  • Years of experience

Although InfraSingularity is a relatively new entity, our foundation is built on deep expertise. Our Founder/CEO, Jitin Jain has a rich history of building and leading teams that specialize in managing blockchain infrastructure. Furthermore, our developers come with a wealth of experience, having worked on blockchain infrastructure for more than 3 years. This collective knowledge and experience position us uniquely to deliver unparalleled value in the Web3 ecosystem.

  • What other networks are you running validators for?

We currently run nodes for Zetachain, Chainflip, Babylon, Namada, Taiko, and Avail Project. We are also in the process of launching on DIva Staking, Lavanet and Eigenlayer.

  • Based on your participation in any previous testnets, mainnets, are there any best practices to be aware of? What are some things that made previous testnets, mainnet launches successful and/or things to avoid that have gone poorly?

Our experience with previous testnets and mainnets has taught us the importance of collaboration. Engaging with other validators, developers, and stakeholders early and often ensures a more robust and secure network. We’ve found that successful launches often involve extensive pre-launch simulations and rehearsals. On the flip side, underestimating the potential for network congestion or not having fallback mechanisms in place has led to challenges in some launches.

  • Do you have a validator voting framework and process?

Yes, we have a structured validator voting framework in place. Our process begins with an internal review of the proposal at hand, where our team evaluates its technical and economic implications. Post-review, we hold a consensus meeting to discuss and deliberate on the proposal. Our final decision is based on a majority vote, ensuring that our stance is representative of our team’s collective expertise and understanding.

  • Are you planning to play any additional roles in the dYdX ecosystem (e.g. market maker, trader, indexer, front-end, other)?

No, we are not planning to play any additional roles in the dYdX ecosystem. We firmly believe that validators should maintain neutrality to ensure the integrity and security of the network. Taking on additional roles could potentially introduce conflicts of interest, and our primary commitment is to uphold the trust and confidence of the dYdX community.

  • Are there other products or services you want to highlight that could be relevant for dYdX?

At InfraSingularity, we are visionaries in the Web3 ecosystem. Our long-term vision is underpinned by our commitment to spearheading investment and infrastructure development for top web3 protocols.

  • Investment and Strategy Consulting: Our deep-rooted belief in the transformative potential of web3 technologies drives us to work closely with founders, helping them realize their vision. We provide strategic investments that go beyond capital.

  • Collaborative Ventures with Top Web3 VCs: Recognizing the power of collaboration in the Web3 space, we co-invest with leading Web3 Venture Capitalists. This collaborative spirit amplifies our impact, enabling us to bring success to ventures by pooling resources, expertise, and networks.

  • Any notable contributions in other ecosystems that you would like to highlight for the community?

At InfraSingularity, our commitment to the blockchain community is evident in our proactive involvement across various ecosystems. A cornerstone of our approach is our active participation in testnets for every chain we validate. This hands-on engagement ensures we are well-versed with the nuances of each chain and can contribute effectively to its stability and growth.

Our expertise isn’t just limited to mature chains. We have a proven track record of working with chains during their formative stages, providing both technical expertise and strategic insights. Some notable contributions include:

  • Genesis Validator on Polymesh: Our CTO played a pivotal role as a Genesis Validator on Polymesh, contributing to the foundational stability and security of the network during its crucial early days.

  • Routers on Connext: He was also among the first to set up routers on Connext, showcasing our ability to quickly adapt to and support emerging technologies in the blockchain space.

These contributions, among others, underscore our dedication to fostering growth and innovation in the blockchain community. We remain committed to making impactful contributions to every ecosystem we engage with.
